Music Education
The current COVID environment is threatening the ability of music educators to teach their classes this school year, greatly limiting the progress of all students in band, orchestra, and choir programs, and blocking students from experiencing the joy of playing and singing together.
JamKazam has a unique answer to this problem. JamKazam has spent the last 6 years building the best platform in the world to help musicians play together live and in sync over the Internet from different locations with high quality audio and video. Musicians, both pro and amateur, currently play more than 100,000 sessions per month on JamKazam.
JamKazam has now crafted programs to help K-12 educators, universities, commercial music schools, and individual instructors continue to teach and develop students both individually and in ensemble groups.
In a post-COVID world, JamKazam’s educational products and programs will continue to digitally transform and improve music education in a variety of compelling ways. We’d encourage you to contact us using the form near the bottom of this page to talk about how we can help you improve your educational practices and impact, both now and in the future.
What is Needed?
To play with others, students need the JamKazam application, plus the following:
- A computer running either Windows 10 or Mac OS X 10.8 or higher, connected to their home router using an Ethernet cable (Chromebooks and iOS/Android devices are not supported)
- An audio interface, which is a hardware accessory that lets the computer process vocal and/or instrumental audio
- A microphone (only required for singing or acoustic instruments) with an XLR cable to connect the mic to the audio interface
- A cable to connect your instrument to the audio interface (only required for electronic instruments)
JamKazam has established reseller relationships with key vendors and can supply the needed gear (other than the computer) at wholesale costs to keep costs to the school/student as low as possible
JamKazam has crafted licensing models specific to K-12 schools, universities, commercial music schools, and individual instructors, and provides 1:1 support to make sure students have a positive, successful experience
