JamKazam offers a rich set of audio recording features that you can use in JamKazam sessions, either alone or when playing with other musicians live across the Internet from home. We have released a major update to our audio recording features so that:
- Musicians can enter and exit online JamKazam sessions while a recording is in progress, and our app handles this gracefully – starting and stopping recordings of each musician’s part(s) upon entry/exit, and adding/removing musicians to/from the session mix as appropriate.
- All musicians (both the person who starts the recording and others in the session) can also now specify what gets recorded on their computer – the session mix, the musician’s own parts/stems, and/or other musicians’ parts/stems. This is useful because you can now choose to avoid consuming processing and storage resources if you don’t need some or all of these recording options, or you can record everything if you may want to use the session mix and stems later in a DAW to mix and master the online performance.
